The proposed MSRTC Bus Terminal at Borivali East is envisioned as a contemporary transit hub that combines operational efficiency with urban design sensitivity. Its L-shaped planning aligns with the surrounding road network, enabling a smooth one-way bus circulation system that minimises traffic conflicts and improves commuter safety.
The stepped podium introduces layered terraces for landscape buffers, public interaction and shaded waiting zones, visually reducing the mass of the infrastructure. Above it, an office tower rises with a refined diagrid glass façade — a lightweight, transparent envelope contrasting the solid terminal base and turning a transit facility into a civic landmark.
